they can get anyone on the market or ones known as tradable, but it's not that easy to convert those assets into a great player which is what they really need. mavs wouldn't trade luka even for the entire OKC franchise, for example. Durant may be a target in case of a locker room implosion in Phoenix, but there ain't many such players for them to grab no matter how many talents and picks they have.

Dallas would trade Luka for every asset OKC has, but that's beside the point...lol. OKC can literally get anyone in the NBA if they desire to pay what it cost. Every player is available at a certain cost and OKC is possibly the richest team ever in terms of assets to trade.
