I would love the THJ-Grimes swap, as that solves what MUST be done in one package. That makes anything further completely optional. FWIW Grimes was not good at all in DET since he got there (and we have to be aware his value here would very much be TBD) - but even though they grabbed him from NY just a few months ago, they may be very willing and perhaps even eager to move on.

There is value to DET in having a placeholder for unused salary, that can be packaged and traded at the deadline, and the only "downside" is using the money on THJ rather than handing a check to the NBA in Oct.
