One of many players that can probably earn a bigger contract with a good performance in the olympics.

I remember Thies basically forcing himself off of IND because he wanted an established role with minutes. And he got that with the Clippers until Miles Plumlee came back from injury.

I truly think he'd rather go to Detroit and play 30 minutes a night than play for a contender.
