I like Sabonis, and I am not suggesting Sacramento could have gotten him for Fox, but that’s my whole point. There’s a reason he’s the one other teams wanted. I think Fox is one of the most underwhelming, overrated players in the entire NBA, and that is coming from someone who was really hoping the Mavericks could draft him the year he came out. I love speed, and he’s got that, but he just isn’t it.
You like it, and that’s cool, I would never, ever have traded Halliburton if I had been in their shoes. he even did not want to be traded, at the time. How many guys actually want to play for the Sacramento Kings?
Sacramento actually had their choice of who to include in the trade, but the addition of Fox made their front office think that they wouldn't be competitive anytime soon and that Sabonis could've walked.
So Halliburton was the one included, and Indiana was fine with that.
