Great.  So if I am reading right, if they did this they can sign DJJ for the MLE and still have money available.  What happens if they can pawn off Powell for nothing.  Would that be enough for a Covington, Batum ( I would love him but I think he gets more), or some other veteran.    It just feels like it is going to be tough to find minutes for this type of player, even if they deserve it.

If they send Powell for air, just add 4 million flat to the numbers. So they can take back up to ~31 mil in a 2 for 3 trade. They'd have ~9 mil of room before the 1st apron (regardless of any trade). 

Is 9 mil enough for Batum? Covington? Maybe. BAE is 4.7 mil.
