If they make this trade in July, yes, his salary has to be guaranteed. But if they make this trade in June, then the Mavs could waive Shamet with no repercussions.

It´s probably easier to pass the bar than the new NBA CBA.   

I wonder whether the new rules will actually increase the likelihood of trades. Feels like you need three weeks and a 15 team staff just to find a legal trade these days and who wants to roll back three weeks of work just because you fight over a few 2nd round picks.
