Looking at the Washington salaries, I could make an argument that Advija might be the guy they're least likely to want to move at this time. He's the only player to whom they've made any real long term commitment. If not him...
Shamet? I don't really know if Washington can absorb the difference in THJ's salary, rules wise, but if that's possible the Mavs gain some money there, which is good. But, he's a pretty "meh" guy to me, and the contract lasts two more years. This would be underwhelming for me, personally.
From there, the possibilities get much scarier. Kuzma has been discussed to death, and none of us on either side are changing our minds anytime soon. I would puke for a week straight and then have to do some soul searching about whether I even wanted to continue with the Mavs during my free time, but sadly, he's not even the worst possibility.
Surely, the Mavs aren't dumb enough to have any interest in Jordan Poole, right? RIGHT???!!
Spotrac has Shamet´s next season as a club option, so he should be expiring like THJ.
Bagley and Holmes are also expiring. Not sure we can re-acquire Holmes yet? Those are the three contracts, I´d see as realistically available.
I assume the Mavs will have zero interest in Holmes after the way they separated, so that leaves Shamet and Bagley III.
I still believe Bagley will be a useful bench option on a contender one day. That´s his designated NBA role. Anyone know whether Nico baked apple pies for Bagley III, when he was in middle school.
