Given Shamet is a better contract than Timmy, that would require an asset (probably similar to Timmy dump).  I would much rather have DJJ.

I think the preferred angle the Mavs are actively working are two separate trades (involving THJ/Kleber/Powell) that generate a total of 10M in additional capspace to re-sign DJJ while minimizing the required assets. Another is probably THJ/Kleber/Powell for a relative top player like a Grant/Simons etc. and then to recuperate part of the assets lost by dropping Green into space to re-sign DJJ. Last option is probably just to stretch-waive THJ and re-sign DJJ.
