I don't really think he would sign with the Mavs at a minimum, but I do think there are a lot of factors he would consider beyond just money. Who knows though, that's what makes it fun!
Emphasis on "slightly," and it might be that he's not being offered that opt-in and extend that the article mentions. Perhaps this threat is to get them to offer it, or perhaps they (Lakers) don't think he'll get another team to offer him the slightly lesser deal mentioned, either, leading LeBron and his team to believe they must opt out and prove the money they want is out there. So many ways it could play out, but I think he'll end up in LA with a deal bigger than what's being offered right now (whatever it is).
