Lively's absence was a big hole in the rotation. Maxi isn't really suited to fill that hole against Gobert. He was effective a couple years ago vs the Jazz, but then he had enough credibility to pull the defense out to the 3pt line. Last night, Gobert didn't respect his shot enough to follow.
Minn seemed to be really fast on their defensive rotations. A lot of shots that looked open when the pass started, were contested by the time the ball got there and I thought some of the attempts looked rushed. Felt like Minn was dictating the game pacing more than the previous 3 games.
That's usually where Luka shines in managing the game, but it didn't seem to happen last night.
