Is Kidd really the best head coach for this team?

One of my biggest complaints with Kidd is that he doesn't stand up for his team. A few games ago, the announcers said Kidd was the only coach in the NBA that didn't receive a tech this season. To me, that's ridiculous. That means he never goes to bat when his team needs to be stood up for. Sometimes it takes a tech or ejection to start getting some calls go your way or to light a fire under your team.
