This makes absolutely no sense at all unless THJ is moving on for someone. Time to fire up the Trade Machine. THJ is 100% gone. Well, 95%. Hardy or Green could be instead, I guess.
I think this ends up being a good signing for end of bench depth. Probably takes Frank's role. He's a bigger and better version of Frank. He has learned to shoot from outside overseas and is a great defender. Mavs need as many defenders as they can get.
As far as THJ I wouldn't be surprised if Dallas is still trying to get a guy like Ayton or someone along those lines to start at the 5. I think the Curry signing signaled that. Curry is a much cheaper and much better version of THJ.
