This is largely a nine-player draft - Vic, Scoot, B. Miller, Cam, Amen, Ausar, Black, Walker, and Hendricks, with there being some question marks on Ausar. If none of the other nine teams reach, then trading down might become a very wise choice - unless the Mavs feel they just have to have Lively. Or Coulibaly. If it's between Gradey and trading down, I'm trading down.
I´m thinking what if the Mavs simply acquire an additional pick(s) without giving up or trading down at all.
Pacers: #26 + #29 + #32
Hornets: #27 + #34 + #37 + #41
Two teams that own 44% of the picks between 26-41 or over 50% of picks between 26-34. Surely there is an opportunity to grab an additional pick.
THJ + Bullock + two future 2nd rounds for Theis + McConnell + Nwora + #26 + #29.
Going by the latest mock draft by Givony that could get you Leonard Miller at #26 and Dariq Whitehead at #29. Little sceptical those projections are accurate, but let´s assume they are.
I´d probably just pick Dick at #10, but if Orlando wants him bad enough maybe you can gamble on Isaac for Bertans and still pick up Lively. Depends on the Mavs evaluation.
Theis/Bitadze/BolBol/Lively (center by committee for less than 15M a year). Also if you decide to make a move for Capela, Ayton with the 2027 pick, you at least have 3-4 viable cheap centers to offer as a replacement.

We are not the Dallas Harrassericks for no reason. At least this time you actually get two players for those 10M dollars.
