Anyone who bawls a single tear if the Mavs lose all four of the next four games (assuming Luka plays in none of them or returns too early to make a positive difference) deserves to be taken outside of the AAC and shot in the big toe. Come on. We have a roster that is pretty good in terms of complementarity to Luka, but is clearly a near-bottom-feeder team which additionally has no practice playing as a team without him. We now have one quality NBA starter who is playing at a lower level than we would like due to lengthy injury recovery. Any wins in the next four games should engender pogoing celebrations like when Fin and Ced's Mavs beat the Bulls in '98, because they will involve tremendous individual heroism (which probably involve some non-long-term players' trade values increasing) as well as being triumphs of team chemistry and gelling.
