I think the chance of Dragic ending up here is still pretty solid. We will see if he has much to offer. I don't think it would be as a 25 minute per game role though.
What I envision short term for this year is picking up a player such as Dragic and then potentially getting a center. For instance:
Dragic as a buyout. Brunson starts and Hardaway goes to the bench. Brunson goes out early and Goran and Luka play some together in the first. The Hardaway fit is tough as he needs his minutes. Maybe he gets some at the SF with Luka and Goran?
As far as a center, there are a ton of names. Lets use Derrick Favors for now. Favors would start and push Powell back to your fourth big.
I think both of those types of moves are moves on the fringes but helps the team a bit in the now. Those are the type of fringe moves I hope we explore.
