Agreed, it is a small sample set and bias can come through. But I would have to say that this small sample set leaves little room for multiple interpretations. They were down to bad teams by a lot. They lost to good teams by a lot. Their shooting is awful. Their spacing is poor. Their organization on offense is very poor.
Additionally we actually have a VERY large sample set to look at because the personnel hasn’t changed much over the last 3 years. So we know who these guys are and what hey are capable of. If we look at these 5 games as a part of the 3 year sample set it is even more telling.
To paraphrase one smarter than I, the simplest explanation is most often the correct explanation.
