Jason Kidd is 1) enormously popular with and respected by veteran players, while being 2) abjectly inept at X's and O's, play calling, rotations, and adjustments.
In other words, he's a Doc Rivers starter kit.
Please get rid of him. At least after this season.

If Kidd's magical ability is to make sure the locker room is locked in, then he's worth it, albeit begrudgingly.
If we could just find an assistant coach to handle all the play calling and can handle after time out plays, then Kidd works. Problem is there is no assistant out there.
Maybe Terry Stotts? Bud? Given that we've heard already Kidd iced out Kokoskov cause he felt threatened, maybe we're just SOL.

Or our 3 point guard savants can work together to figure out how they want to do all this. Kidd and Brunson absolutely talked all the time so this is not out of the question. All three of them clearly respect each other so I believe I’ve already seen this start to happen. Watch closely. We might get what we want.
