AROUND the NBA: ATL Jumps from #10 to #1 in Lotto| Pistons Mull Firing GM
KAT shitting the bed like crazy.

Rudy isn't playing so badly against Jokic, but it's obvious the Wolves are outclassed here.
14x All-Star, 12x all-NBA, 1x MVP, 1x Finals MVP, 1 NBA Championship: Dirk Nowitzki, the man, the myth, the legend.

I liked Brooks for quite a while until I saw his 3% kept going down, not up. Now I’m meh on him. We could use a bit of that crazy on this team. Too many choir boys.

It’s funny that he doesn’t “respect” someone until they bury him in points. Putting 40 on someone is so well beyond anyone’s average it just seems so silly to say. Say 30, say 25, not 40.

Dude's a clown to me. He's not as good as he thinks he is, especially offensively.  He's aggressive and gets after you on D, I'll give him that. But he talks sh*t entirely too much to back it up. LeBron shot over 50% with him being the nearest defender. I hope Bron drops 40 on him next game, and let's see what he has to say...

I think Mavs would need a guy like him a lot. They need a dog, one who sets defensive mentality. He is very similar to Smart for me. Smart is also not a great shooter who takes some bad shots, but his contribution on defense is invaluable.

I doubt Brooks can be had, as Mavs can (best case) offer MLE tops, and Memphis would likely easily offer a bit more.

Mike Brown is the first unanimous COTY in league history, well deserved.

The Mavs would be wise to get a guy like this. Like you said, a dog. Historically, championship teams have had players that had that type of mentality.

The Mavs are very soft and other teams know that. The knew it with Dirk too. We had Desahwn Stevenson for our championship run and we see how that turned out. Tyson Chandler was also a guy who had dog in him and wasnt afraid to get in someone's face.

I'd rather have a guy that actually plays defense.

Getting in someone's face can be a huge distraction.  Luka likes to get in the ref's faces.  Better to focus on the game.

KAT and Gobert are so bad together...not sure what Minnesota was thinking pairing them together. In fact, they would be better off without BOTH of them and building a team with a more modern style of play around Edwards and McDaniels

Rolled the dice and went against conventional wisdom.

Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose.

Easy to poke at failures.

It´s not about the refs or opposing players. For the most part it is about accountability among teammates. For some reason Thompson and Curry respect Green´s leadership.  Mavs don´t have an authority like this in the locker room. No one would dare to call out Luka when he isn´t hustling back on defense.

Agreed.

But "getting in someone's face" doesn't necessarily correlate with leadership or accountability that's respected.

Its just for relationship guys to make it happen now (I doubt Dubs they can turn it around against Sacramento or come to finals). He controls where he wants to go. GSW gets a smaller asset to help him (without taking bad salaries back).

I would try to do it like this:
Ind: Bertans, McGee, THJ #10, 2027
GSW: #26 from Indy
Dal: Turner, Green, #29

Philly situation will also be interesting, if Harden walks. But not much of interesting players there.

I would like DiVinzenzo a lot for rMLE

Looks like Kawhi was used too much in just first two games of play-offs.

With all the public support Lillard has been giving Draymond recently, that’s my leader in the clubhouse. Their pick is a little better than the Mavs probably and they also have Jerami Grant they can SNT.
