Seems like a bad case of mightgettradeditis is hitting some teams pretty hard.

Interesting numbers that I hadn't noticed before.  Grimes and Noel combined are a perfect fit for the TPE we have.  Obviously, JB and Robinson are a legal trade match.  It doesn't seem likely we'd end up with Noel and Robinson, so if the TPE was to be used in that way, Robinson would go to a third team and something else would come back.

If Grimes is incoming, you presumably could send out THJ.  If Noel is incoming, there isn't much use for both Powell and KP.  So, who out there needs M. Robinson, Hardaway and Powell (or KP) and what would come back to us in that swap.

Would take Robinson 10/10 times over Noel. The Knicks seem to be high on Grimes. I just don’t see Brunson being traded, barring a ridiculous offer from the Knicks or anyone.

I think this is way too complicated for such role players. Even if we use TPE, we need to send out three players. I proposed a swap of Robinson - PJ Washington couple of times (with Brunson going to NY and some other assets to Dallas).

Charlotte reportedly really wants a center. With Turner/Sabonis out of the picture, who is left on the market? Washington has a bunch of centers but no one is really good. Portland reportedly wants to resign Nurkic. Poeltl is reportedly very expensive. Holmes?

Just thought it interesting that the Grimes/Noel combo comes to exactly the TPE.  BTW, Kemba/Grimes also fits within the TPE

Charlotte was one of the teams I had in mind as I was typing that.  My version would send THJ/MRob to Charlotte.  Dallas would get Rozier, PJ and Grimes.  NY would get Brunson.  Everyone is well under the tax, so it wouldn't be hard to balance the incoming/outgoing players by sending one more guy to NY.

KP\Powell
Maxi/PJW
DFS/Green
Bullock/Grimes
Luka/Rozier

Me, too.

What blackmail might one need to acquire to get Bridges in the deal? Asking for a friend.

Why wouldn’t you want the Mavs to acquire the best player in the deal in Robinson in this scenario? If you’re thinking of Rozier as the bench scorer I get that, but he just signed an extension for 5 years. Could just take Kemba instead as the bench guard into the TPE.

I initially flinched at both Spoelstra and Doc.  After giving Spoelstra some thought he did take two completely different teams to the finals several years apart (even if one of them was evil).  Though he does have the advantage of having good players just want to team up in Miami because Miami.

Doc though jumps from star studded team to star studded team then runs away before the teams implode.

So if the going rate for a center around 20ppg is a first and or a prospect,  then the Mavs eating Haywards contract is worth double that.

Would y'all do KP+DFS+Maxi for Hayward+Bridges+Washington?

Collins currently has 13 points on 6-7 shooting and it's only the first quarter.

Excited as I would be to see the end of the Porzingis era, I'd have to pass. Too much turnover for not enough difference making. I think there's a good chance the team is worse when the dust settles, and you'd have to wait until like month two of next season for the dust to settle on a move that big.

I might do a smaller deal involving one of those targets, however.

I´ll say this. I don´t think the Hornets themselves have any interest in Porzingis. They are probably looking for a more mobile (small ball compatible) center. They either have to change their whole playing identity to accomodate Porzingis or he´s broken in six months.

I could see a three way deal like

Sacramento gets Porzingis
Charlotte gets Holmes
Dallas gets Washington + Bagley + Lamb + Kings top 5 protected 1st round pick.

I'm still dreaming for my KP for Gobert idea.

Largely because I don't think Robinson is the best fit next to KP.

Yes, you could take Kemba into the TPE.  One of the benefits of dealing for Rozier is you are moving off of THJ (who is replaced for pennies by Grimes).  If you are taking back Kemba, you don't get rid of THJ.  I don't have an issue with the Rozier extension.

With the mandatory caveat that I don't want to trade JB, if the return is Grimes and PJ AND I get to swap THJ for Rozier...I'm in.  The issue here is Charlotte has to be desperate for Robinson.  They are doing Robinson for PJ, which is probably a great fit for them.  The question is whether it is a good enough fit to do the swap of Rozier for THJ as part of the "compensation" for Robinson.

Shouldn't THJ be letting his foot heal?
