2021-2022 AROUND the NBA: GSW Champs [ARCHIVED]
Would you take him in the TPE if Nets add Claxton and a second rounder? I wouldn't play him though Smile

Looks like we can now file the LM signing under NBA talk rather than Mavs talk.

Interesting.   So does Lauri come off the bench in Cleveland or does Mobley?  I guess he got his $, but it is an odd fit...and it is Cleveland.   Cleveland is a mess and has some odd contracts, but they do have some interesting young players.

So, does this mean Love is going to be bought out?   Would it be weird thinking I would be interested in him as a buyout?    We would need to move a big though.

PF Markkanen 30/ Love 12 /Mobley 3 / Allen 3
C Mobley 24 / Allen 24

Seems a pretty natural fit to me. Probably will play some Mobley and Allen together, too.

Hartenstein remains un-signed, which is really surprising imho. He was a net positive on both the Cavs and Nuggets last year. 8 PPG, 6 RPG, 2.5 APG, 1.2 BPG in just 18 MPG off the bench in Cleveland.

Mavs should have no interest in Love at his salary and he´ll have no interest in the Mavs after beingt bought out, so that is just a waste of time.

If you just gave 100 million dollars to a 23 year old center that you don't even expect to start and you plan to play a ROOKIE over him, then ladies and gentlemen, you are the stupidest franchise on the planet and honestly, it should make every move you've ever made, even the ones that people go "Hey, good move", come into question.  SERIOUSLY?

I can't get pissed at the MBT about this because the contract and trade compensation that the Cavs had to give up was ridiculous. If Lauri was worth that much, he wouldn't have still been available at this point. Edit: actually, it's Portland giving up the first rounder - but how would the Mavs have brought in a third team? In any event, Lauri is not a value at that contract.

Watch us trade for him in a year.

So that's the pick the NBA will take for their tampering?

Portland got exactly what they need by dumping DJJ (if Nance health is ok)

They will take a Bulls pick. They are not taking picks from other teams that are traded to the Bulls.

Pat Riley is the real "OG"  Dude who could have two wooden nickles in his pocket and still find a way to make a deal.

I am pretty much out on the debate shows (sans PTI).   I just have no interest in the loudest voice in the room debate shows looking to get attention.    I would much prefer a show build around guys like Zach Lowe.  They may not have the pizzaz of Paul Pierce, Kendrick Perkins, etc, but it would be better.   I actually like Raja Bell on the Ringer Podcasts and Jim Jackson on some interviews.  They provide some really good stories and insight rather than just trying to be a shock jock.

The whole ESPN NBA coverage is lacking.  The draft coverage is bad.  The pre-game and halftime shows are non events and boring.    I am not sure the changes they make will be any better either.

I agree. PTI is the best thing going on ESPN, always has been. I watch it religiously.

Another interesting note - protection on the pick they sent to Chicago basically prevents them trading any other picks before it conveys or if Chicago lifts restriction. So no more big moves for Portland this season?

Portland could be forced to trade Dame after this year. This is as all in as it gets IMO.

Chicago gets a pick back so when the NBA takes their next pick for the tampering penalty they’ll have more flexibility going forward with their newly rebuilt roster

The false assumption in the media was that Chicago didn’t want to take on a bad contract. The picks were the real motivation

All in is Larry Nance Jr? I’m not disagreeing with you, its more like I’m in shock.
Thank you Donnie.
