It seems that Fish is suggesting that POR might have (re)leaked the KP and Luka don't like each other piece, while DAL is leaking that Dame is unhappy. That't my initial guess of what he is getting at. Be curious if anyone offers a better take.
The timing of both might very well have purpose. I don't doubt that.
In both cases, agents thinking only about their clients makes a ton more sense to me than teams being involved, and I doubt the two are connected in any way.
Just my reaction.

If that has anything to do with Luka, then he's dumb as dirt, because that leak hurts the Mavs' ability to trade KP and get back something of value.

Well, IF this is all due to either player's camp, then my guess is that it's less about value and more about making sure KP is not in Dallas next year.
But who knows?
My main opinion is that the KP and Lillard things are not related. That part seems like a huge stretch to me. I think there are about to be 50 of these rumors the second the playoffs are over. It's just that time of year.

I mean, if he does well leading that team, it might be something to look at as a piece to the KP trade and I might think differently with him being a centerpiece to it. Yeah, it may not matter or may be small, but I really dislike this. Seems like a simple question. With all supposed confusion and lack of order we have seen from this front office over the years, it is not surprising.
Again, maybe it is nothing. But my hope is they would get a fresh voice in the front office (they did) and take a wrecking ball from what we have seen there over the last several years.

The old regime used to be Donnie as the main guy for 10 years. Then RC came in and slowly gained a seat at the table. Then Fin.
Slowly but surely no one really knew their roles because each came at different times. They all started to vye for more power and control (meaning Cubans ear) and once Bob came, who radically doesn't give a crap, the situation rapidly deteriorated over 2 years. I assume all these guys are on the same page with clear defined roles but at the end of the day Cubes will call the shots.
I.E.
Nico-player relations and free agency/trades
Fin- Drafting/scouting
Kidd- Coaching
All 3 have input and will give their ideas for roster direction which Cuban ultimately has the final say on. So at the end of the day the titles do not matter.
