So, another couple of hours until the close of business for the Mavs to hire a GM.
When that doesn't happen, tomorrow, I'll start my thread of "Day one (and onward) of the Mavs being overdue to hire a GM."

All these reports that Nate didn't get along with any of the players there.
All these reports that Rick didn't get along with the players here.
And the cycle continues?
He'll raise their floor for sure and get the most out of that roster, just kind of surprised is all.
Also need to keep in mind that the intense coaching style of guys like Carlisle, Thibs, Clifford or even Skiles, usually works really well for 18-24 months before the players start to get tired of your intense demands and your motivational speeches. Eventually it turns into burned out players listening to old man rants.
In a weird way Carlisle might actually be a victim of the Mavs having some roster continuity for the first time over the last 2-3 years. Since Plan Powder began our roster turnover was so high every summer, that few players even had a chance to get tired of Carlisle´s coaching style, cause they were not here long enough. In a way the ineptitude of the Mavs front office worked in Carlisle´s favour.

So, KP has some stuff going on this summer.
This is actually an encouraging sign, if they do hire Mosley. X´s and O´s aside, at least you know the whole roster will play hard for him.
I think Porzingis started the celebration (when does that ever happen), Richardson joined in, THJ was involved, also all the rookies. So it seems he has a great relationship with all the important and marginalized players, not just Luka.

It's been about a week. I would think that it'd take longer than a week to find a suitable replacement GM.
I don't see why you're so pressed about how long it's taking. I'd rather the Mavs get it right than rush and make a big mistake.

A month would probably be considered quick.
Getting it right is another can of worms all together. lol

I am officially convinced that half of these semi-official yet still anonymous Mavs twitter people are at least lurkers here.
I am seeing so many takes that are like word for word copied from this place tonight.

I personally think it's a great move, Kidd has already coached the Mavs to 1 ring as player-coach and he will lead the team to prominence once again!
I spoke to GKAR and he also endorses this decision.
"And Peja with the dagger."-balldontliez on 11/15/10 when Peja hit a 3 to put the hornets up 84-75 with 9 MIN LEFT! Guess who won the game? That's right, the mavericks." -msu15

Perhaps it's just me, but this whole "JKidd pretty much hired, no definite word on Nico" stuff reminds me a little too much of Wes Matthews (the meh part) and VAJ (the exciting part).
