AROUND the NBA:

Cavs just seemed destined for changes.   They may have missed their window.    They are still really talented and they have big game James Harden to try to change the narrative.

Knicks are one of the favorites to come out of the East and are still a talented team.   You just got the feeling that their peak is now and could be on the downhill shortly after this year.  Downhill as in solid playoff team, not contender.

Rockets came into the year really positioned well, but with an older KD you have to wonder if they are stuck as the 4-6 team in the west the next several years.  Good, but not West great.   They have avenues to get better moving forward.  They also have a hard charging coach that I don't think it built to be a coach in one spot for a long time.

I find it very odd when talking about what team will come out the East, nobody thinks Detroit will. It's either Boston, NY, or Cleveland. Detroit has led the East from wire to wire, suffered through suspensions and Cade's injury and still was 1st across the finish line. I guess the talking heads feel they don't have enough 3pt shooting. But they win with defense and inside play. Everyone is hoping Charlotte wins so they can face them, especially after their infamous brawl a few months back. I guess they are ripe for an upset that every hoops prognosticator is predicting. It's amazing they have the 4th best odds to advance to the finals from Vegas.

Very disrespectful. I think Cade should take it personally and come back to his hometown to prove them all wrong.

Did Orlando tank themselves into the Pistons match-up to avoid Boston? Huh

Orlando beating Charlotte is not a huge surprise. Orlando beating the poop out of Charlotte is. I'm sure that LaMelo finding out that people abhor basketball players who act like it's the WWE and they're heels played a part in his rather woeful game.

Kon is a bluff.

Mediocre player, no where close to Flagg.

Lots of blowouts in the playoffs so far.

Play in games were great, but the first round games so far have been pretty uneventful.    Just game 1's though.

The Chicago Bulls have started the search process for their new head of basketball operations, receiving permission to interview Minnesota's Matt Lloyd, Detroit's Dennis Lindsey, Atlanta's Bryson Graham, Cleveland's Mike Gansey and San Antonio's Dave Telep, per ESPN sources. The Bulls are also expected to speak with the co-head of CAA's basketball division, Austin Brown, regarding the vacancy, sources said.

If Dumont wants to get Lindsey, he'd better act fast. He's got the most experience out of the other candidates.

We have the clear edge there with Flagg. Also the Bulls owner is cheap and dumb. Ours might not be cheap. Big Grin

Shams as GM. Which college is Woj ruining currently ? These guys are news aggregators, not GMs. Though to be fair  I have never read an actual article by Shams. I did read 2-3 by Woj on ESPN and knew immediately he had no basketball knowledge to run a team.
