MAVS NEWS:
If this is what an NBA straw poll does to Flagg, I hope Edgecombe pushes him down to 3rd in the actual vote. Big Grin Big Grin

That´s such a weird takeaway, when we sabotage line-ups to avoid wins, so obviously you do not want your three best healthy players to play together.
By this logic we should always play them together, because it will result in losses.

Our record since the AD trade, when MARSHALL + WASHINGTON + FLAGG played together:

7-5, +2.9 pt differential, seven play-in/off teams and the biggest loss was by nine points to the Kings of all franchises.

Maybe the actual reason they could not play together was the golfing sloth

Something different? I have not been able to watch the last 4 games due to travel. Watching highlights of the last two games it looks like coop has adjusted to just ramming his head in at the rim every possession. Not only is he making threes but he seems to have added a mid range touch shot. It sort of looks weird. He uses his body to create contact to limit people blocking shots and has this little flip shot. It,is not unguardable but it is pretty close to being so.

He's become so versatile that I'm daring to hope that he may end up being the best Mav scorer of all time. And unlike his two superstar predecessors, he's also a great defender.

Definitely tanking tonight! They won their championship this past weekend celebrating Flagg's 51 point game and then beating the Lakers

I still can't believe the Mavs lucked into Coop. Perfect start to this game.

The secret is not to watch.

Klay channeling his inner Wes Matthews and driving the tank like a champ.

Tie game. As bad as the Mavs opened the game, the Clippers might have been worse this entire second quarter.

The Clipps' indifference toward winning this game is starting to make me honest-to-goodness angry. This has legit implications for you, ya morons. It's about staying in the top half of the play-in.

I don't think we missed a free throw. Terrible shooting night for just about everyone outside of Baglady. Klay is 1 of 10 from three. Naji hurt. Cooper with some nice highlights, but a bad game from him.

edit: we finally missed a free throw.

Weird that Klay was out there for the closing minutes after Kidd waved the while towel.

Kyrie's leadership has helped the Mavs navigate a chaotic season.

I truly believe it was in the cards all along. For a team that had the slimmest of chances to come away with the number 1 pick.  They had to placate one of the larger media markets in the NBA, which was ready to riot, and which was seriously screwed over by an inept GM trading one of the game's best players in an under-the-table deal that was akin to two ships passing in the night. JMHO.
