Game 28: Detroit Pistons (21-5) vs. Dallas Mavericks (10-17)
#21
Wow, Davis, Flagg and finally PJW all contributed to stifle that paint attempt. Dallas has no shortage of weak side help defense, that’s for sure.

Nuggets just outscored the Magic 35-7 in six minutes and Lakers struggle with Jazz without Markkanen.

Also Marshall at 10M/year for a legit contender is easily an unprotected 1st round pick. Contract is dirty cheap.

AD/Flagg together is more special on defense with each passing game. It’s like playing zero centers and two centers at the same time. All the upside of two bigs and very little of the downside.

I know Thompson got himself thrown out of this game, but…the Mavs are whooping Detroit at the moment.

HossierDaddy is in the game thread sometimes, and his teams are playing each other tonight. Expected to see him here. I wonder if he is at the game.

Not so much, anymore.

Detroits making a run. Getting all the lose balls. Dallas offense went dry as they forced pj, ad and others to try to imitate offense. Why do they let pj try to start the offense. It usually doesn’t end good. Should be a fun finish.

Gaff doesn’t have the lift he has had in the past. Hope he gets his legs back.

AD is such a frustrating offensive player. Some nights he is a number 1 and then he has nights where he just really struggles.

Mavs offense looking rough. Detroit is not giving them anything and Dallas seems to not helping things out either.

I looked away from the score for the 1st 6 minutes of the 4th quarter. The Mavs gave back that entire lead? WTF?

Really interesting they put Stewart on Coop. He has done a great job too.

Detroit has earned this if they pull it out. Jenkins has been awesome.

Sure, key possession of the game and it is an AD three with no penetration. Come on!

Cade out of gas and the Pistons have nothing left on offense. Mavs can't finish them off though

Man, pj inbounding is going to kill me. With .6 seconds left why would you throw a pass going towards the other basket.

Man, that was a physical game. Mavs won out. Fun game.

Flagg is a man. OMG.

Tonight Davis shots selection is the reason why he can't lead a team.

Almost a shitty loss after giving up that lead in the 4th...to a decent win. Onward.

Flagg is very clutch, but still too predictable. If he goes left, he’s almost always trying to get to the rim. If he goes right, he’s usually looking for a 1-3 dribble pull up.

When he gets a little more variety in his offensive attack, he’s going to be an all star. If/when he finds range outside of 17 ft, he’ll be a superstar.

I can’t believe how good he already is at 18 though, especially as a help defender. It’s unreal.

Cooper is ready to win now. Team isn’t quite there but he isn’t let him develop, for 3 years. He is there now.
