The Memphis Grizzlies are trading center Jay Huff to the Indiana Pacers for one second-round pick and one second-round pick swap, sources tell ESPN.

He's a low risk, and worth a shot for Indy. He can shoot the 3 and rim run for lobs and dunks. I remember him having a 30 pt game this year for Memphis. Probably a better option than Thomas Bryant, who's a free agent I believe.

Did this eliminate a potential Powell landing spot?

Feels like it.

I also don’t think Powell is that attractive on the market at all. This may be his last year in the NBA. He is still serviceable, but I don’t think he’s on any top 5 lists of targets remaining for teams.

He could be considered a “value add on” in a trade for a team needing center help. But I don’t think he is a primary target at this stage of his career.
