Boston NEEDS a backup center. Heck even a starting center at this point. They are set to lose Horford, KP, AND Kornet in 1 month.

Not counting two way and stuff, I bet this is it.

I forgot about Exum. 50/50 they manage to pull that off.

They're trying to dump Omax to bring back Exum.

But it seems like there's no big plans to upgrade the back court.

And all they can offer is tMLE, if I am not mistaken. They have plenty of trade flexibility, though

Free agent center Clint Capela has agreed to a three-year, $21.5 million deal with the Houston Rockets, sources tell ESPN. Major frontcourt addition – and return to Houston for Capela.

It's the only move he CAN make, unless they can find a trade they like. No more roster space.

I'd love to find a way to keep Exum around (or a similar player), but not enough to want to spend a 2nd to dump O-Max.

The center market is all but gone for the Lakers.

Really only Ayton and Lopez left.

Trades are allowed last I checked and thus the original question.

The Rockets don't have enough remaining in their mid-level to sign Clint Capela to these terms.

It looks like a sign and trade is coming, either with this deal or for Dorian Finney-Smith.

If I ever make it in the league, I'm hiring his agent.

Still a chance for a trade, but I doubt it.  I guess there is also potential PJ extension in August.  I think there is some chance they can dump Omax without paying an asset.

Ok, but trade who? To where? For what?

I'd be looking for Gafford trades, obvs, having said that 100 times. But barring that, I'm not sure what's out there.

Side note: why is every one of your posts full of snark and antagonizing energy? I feel like I bend over backwards to be nice and respectful to you (because I like and respect you). Should I just give up?

I agree with FGump on PJW.

If he/they have an acceptable extension in mind, they already know about it. We'll hear about it in August. If they don't, I bet he gets traded this month. Either way, pretty significant.

Honestly seeing all these teams loading up on size, I am more disincentivized now more than ever shipping out Gafford. Mavs have to stay big.
