SMU’s Matt Cross will join the Dallas Mavericks for NBA Summer League, I’m told.

The 6’7” forward averaged 11.8 points and 7.6 rebounds while shooting 38.2% from three for the 24-win Mustangs this season.

1st Team All-A10 selection for UMass the season prior.

A certain brother of his certainly looked good in the finals. Interesting! I know he’s not considered to be even close but interesting just the same.

I'd prefer the under. In fact I hope its 0. But Gump made a good point and I don't think the NBA would allow that. They need to sell tickets and Cooper Flagg is "The Maine Event."

If they can play him just 2 games I'd be happy. Limited minutes.

What is the reasoning behind not letting him play? Injury avoidance?

Summer League is better served for development and seeing how your new rookies look.

Cooper Flagg has already shown that he does not need Summer League. It's a waste of time. Plus the injury avoidance thing, but thats less of a deal for me.

How many games did Wemby play? Whatever he did is what I'd expect to see from Flagg.

He could easily be a finalist in the "Grant Williams Look-alike Contest"

Thanks.  Yeah, I think I have heard about him before.   Interesting a former five star who was pretty productive in college (on pretty poor teams) who gets no buzz in the draft.

..."The main attraction in Las Vegas will be No. 1 pick Cooper Flagg, who will make his debut when the Mavericks face the Lakers at 7 p.m. CT July 10. The NBA got this one right. Good scheduling. I'll be watching.
