Watching Rick go Popovich in these playoffs makes me wonder how much worse our record would have been 2012-2019 with an average coach.

In a league where tattoos are more prevalent amongst players, this season marks the ninth consecutive season that the league MVP has zero tattoos.

Maybe that guy who wanted Harrison Barnes to pray with Luka because of his tattoos was right all along.

Minnesota might mess around and get swept.

Think Minnesota has read the tea leaves, seen which way the wind is blowing, and quit. Getting ready to call-it-a-year. Get-'em-next-year. Seeing that they don't stand a chance against OKC's onslaught.

He hurried up and got the hell out of Dallas. Maybe he knew the tsunami was coming... Also, he knew his boy Larry Bird would let him come back.

Maybe the Timberwolves should change their name to the Minnesota Turnovers.

The OKC Minny series is far from over. A series doesn't really start until a road team wins.
If you are a betting person, don't expect the next game to look like the 1st 2. When the arena changes, the games tend to change too.

OKC is going to be tough to beat. I will be rooting for whoever advances in the East. It is going to be really tough though.
This could be just the beginning for OKC. They won 68 and Chet and Hartlestein missed a lot of games. Their first round pick that draft guys really liked didn't even play this year. Then they have a boatload of picks coming up that gives them options all over the place. There defense is awesome. If you have any chance against them you can't turn the ball over. It is just a killer against OKC.

Pacers/Knicks was the most watched ECF since 2018

They had a debate on one of the sports talk radio shows. The debate was: Can OKC become the next dynasty like GS, the Chiefs, or the Patriots? They haven't won this year yet but are the favorites. The way they're set up, I think they can. They have first-round picks on the bench who don't even play: Jones, Dieng, and Topic. They should win at least 2-3, barring any major injuries and keeping their core players intact, IMO.

I expect them to win it all and the mental lapses they often suffer will be largely erased with championship experience. An SGA injury the foreseeable future would be the only thing keeping them from that dynasty status.

You can start there. Edwards has been doing his part, but they can't have Randle shoot 2-11, 0-3 from 3, for 6 pts after playing well in game 1. Reid and Divincenzo also have struggled. It's imperative they win game 3, or you can call in the dogs. |
