AROUND the NBA:

It is indeed interesting how trades sometimes work out.

saw this on Reddit. At least we are the Bucks. Right Guys Smile I have no idea how they are going to keep Giannis. Especially if Dame is compromised....and he is already older. They don't have much else.

Jrue:

2025: 1-4 (NOP), 5-30 (BKN) (The Pick Splicer, check CJ to Pelicans trade)
2026: Unprotected Swap to the Pelicans
2027: Unprotected To Hawks or Pelicans - Dejounte Murray For Dyson Daniels, Larry Nance Jr. Unprotected Lakers first in 2025, and lower of Pelicans/Bucks 1sts (top-4 protected)

Dame:

2028: Unprotected Swap To The Blazers
2029: Unprotected Pick To The Blazers
2030: Unprotected Swap To The Blazers

Windhorst has always given off weird vibes but you have to respect his hustle for riding Bron's coattails to a successful media career.

Minor and expected move on the Lakers. They cut Reddish to sign Goodwin to a standard contract. The 26 year old Goodwin is playing good defense, he hustles a lot and has a great feeling for offensive rebounds. Much deserved contract. Reddish played only in two games since end of January and he hasn't showed much. Its funny that both Luka and the pick that Mavs traded for Luka on his draft night ended at Lakers, even if for just a short period of time Smile

Wow, Memphis parted with their head coach Jenkins. That is really surprising

Edit: I am sort of pissed off this happened right before Memphis-LAL, as players usually react positively to a coaching change in first couple of games. Everyone wants to prove himself to a new coach

Very surprising; this could have waited until the season was over unless he did something that would require immediate action.

Not sure what you might have been expecting (or why, frankly), but the Suns are not very good.

Because they supposedly have three stars players and no motivation (i.e., tanking) to lose since they don't have their pick. They're pathetic.

Agree.

Trade all our assets for their best player 37yo is not a good idea...

Just weird watching the suns play. KD still looks good. booker is good. They have several guys I like. It just doesn’t work on the floor. They just seem off. The defense is brutal. Does a good starting center fix that? They should be much better. Definitely better than the hospital Mavs and meh Kings.

Here comes Ayton again.

The issue is the suns are really limited in getting a starting caliber center.  They are stuck gambling on backup bigs hoping one hits.

They were ready to move on from Ayton, and I can see why.  Although you wonder how they would look if they kept Ayton, Camara (in Ayton trade) and Chris Paul.  On paper that is a solid team if you had solid backups to Paul and Ayton.

I think their biggest problem is that none of their players is a really good creator for others, they are mostly scorers/finishers. That is why their offense is more or less "your turn - my turn" between Booker, Durant and to an extent Beal. All three also prefer 2-point jumpers instead of drives or threes, which is least efficient way to score in todays basketball.

Yes ... And with KD is what will happen here ...

Booker has looked checked out all year. They’re starting to turn on him on the Suns fan forums.
