Kidd did not even acknowledge Grimes when walking right past him. I guess he never liked him, similar to Christian Wood. Maybe if Grimes had accepted the Mavs' "team-friendly" contract offer before the season

Philly is having a crap season as well, but I bet Grimes felt good with the game he had vs his old team.

If AD can hit 30-40% from 3 along with his diet of mid-range, and Dinwiddie, Williams, and Thompson can get some penetration, it will add an extra dimension for a team that just had a 39-point 4th quarter.

We really don't know what this team will look like next year, especially with this FO and ownership. They could decide to blow it all up. There will be changes, you can bet on that.

Unfortunately AD has consistently hit much closer to the 30% number, which is completely useless.

So Grimes puts in 28 efficient points and Martin is a big zero. Plus we owe a high 2nd. Nico is such a moron it’s unbelievable. He traded a potential borderline all star. Gets a contract albatross in return and is paying a 2nd. I can’t stand how stupid that man is. Mavs fans should be vomiting.

Grimes doing in Philly what a lot of us thought he could do here.
We got issues in Dallas. The coach and front office clearly dislike certain guys.

Anthony Davis has literally never been a near 40% 3pt shooter in his career. And he’s actually barely been close to a 30% 3pt shooter too. He’s not a stretch big. He does have a mid range game though, and when he’s feeling it he’s close to 45% career wise there. Which is good for league average. But that’s all AD has to be from there to be a transformative guy offensively. He’s one of the best rim finishers of all time though. I’m just writing this out because I just want to be realistic here. I do want to see how AD looks with Lively. But he is not a stretch big. We cannot expect him to ever become one. It’s up to Lively to stretch the floor.

Tank keeps on rolling along as expected and losing to another team that is tanking as well made it that much sweeter what a great moment in tanking history.

Damn, seems like Phoenix doesn't want the 10th spot either. They're stinking it up vs the Lakers minus LeBron, and Rui. Luka is making Jaxson Hayes look like a All Star. Mavs might make the play-in by default. Phoenix is horrible, yet they have limited options to get better..They need to blow it up in the worse way. Matt Ishbia has destroyed that team trying to build a superteam of players that don't mesh.

You need to shoot around 50% on threes match that 77% 2pt rate. Let’s say AD is a 55% 2pt shooter cause he’s bound to operate anywhere within the FT line at the rim. That means he’d need to hit right at 40% of 3s to match that 2pt production. And he’s nowhere near close that. Last 6 years he’s a 25% 3pt shooter. He had 2 career years in New Orleans where he hovered around 33%. He’s awful at shooting it from range.

Definitely makes sense to shoot from places on the floor where you’re most efficient. If AD really can have a TS% of 70% in the paint. Even if he could hit 45% on threes, he shouldn’t.

I will never get why they tried to get Beal. KD? I get it, he is KD after all and he was there for taking. But Beal? Why? |
