He was always been a Doncic hater.

Derek led a basketball skills camp for us preceding a basketball tournament we hosted. He was totally awesome for more than 100 of my kids. His on ball defense was the very best. His clutch shots at the end of games, save one occasion, brought tremendous joy. Count me among his lifetime fans.

Just using the ongoing gag about his terrible announcing to poke fun.

Dallas Mavericks assistant Alex Jensen has accepted the job as the next coach at Utah, sources tell me and @jeffborzello. He’s a former star player there and has been an NBA assistant since 2013. He’s a former head coach of the Canton Charge in the G League.

Clearly, any success the Mavs have had in the past was a direct result of Alex Jensen.

Kidd couldn't coach his way out of a grocery bag.

...just like any success Nico had was directly attributable to Lindsey.

...just like any success the Mavs had was directly attributable to Luka.

...just like any success the Mavs had was directly attributable to Cuban.

...and any training staff success was attributable to Casey Smith.

or Donnie.  Or anyone else that's departed.

Maybe we could attribute all their success to Tim Hardway, Jr!!!

Back after a much needed breather. Still feel just as sad about the trade and how it went down and what could have been, but think I’ve moved towards feeling happy/optimistic for Luka and apathetic towards the Mavs (the organization, not the players…still love and support them).

Here is Klay’s dad talking about the situation in Dallas. While we may never know what truly happened (though I do think more info will start leaking now with the Mavs season being effectively over), I think this proves that Klay at least did not ask for Luka to be traded. Would not be surprised at all if Klay asks for a trade this summer

"He thought with Luka & Kyrie they could get to the finals. I told him when AD's coming, he still has a chance. Then he got hurt, Gafford & Lively got hurt. Klay is stuck in purgatory right now."

It has to be noted this is the University of Utah, not the Utah Jazz

Of course he didn't. This was just a wild imagination from more or less one user. As wild as theories that Klay started to play better when Luka was out and especially when he was traded. Simple facts (statmuse):
- Klay with Luka: 14,9 ppg on 43,4 %, 12,3 FGA
- Klay without Luka: 13,6 ppg on 40,4 %, 12,1 FGA

MacMahon is writing this book for several years. I remembered a while ago he was already speaking about it. Also went to Slovenia and talked to several people. The story of the book at that time was supposed to be about the challenges to to build a title contender with a player that is too good too soon. To lazy to check if this is still the main topic.

Otherwise I also dislike MacMahon. He has that looking down on people, I am smarter than anyone else attitude. Basically everyone is stupid while he is the guy with a need to point out mistakes of other people. This latest podcast is the perfect example. He speaks about how bad for Mavs was to leak Luka stuff, yet he was the guy who was the mouthpiece on most of those leaks.

Im wondering if Kidd is behind all the moves. He has a history of making power moves at every stop.

Casey Smith. All the assistant coaches. Luka’s friends. Luka himself.

Did I miss the update on the players today? I was not expecting any back soon and now probably none of them back. The team said they would update today. Unless I missed it, I have not seen it. It appears they are both incompetent and not truthful.

Kai Jones out again tomorrow and so is Omax. What is going on? If no one else comes back (the rest are listed as questionable), we will have 7 players.

I saw today that the Knicks have the least amount of missed games this year despite heavy minutes to their starters. Weird.

Yeah, really weird.

I thought that was the reason that Kyrie got hurt.

I am pretty sure the minimum amount of dressed players for a game is 8 and any below that is an automatic forfeit. So either the Mavs are getting at least 1 dude back, or maybe they are speed running tanking too.

Might as well tank. They may not win another game.

It isn't a real issue (if it's even a rule) because they can have an injured player dress and then play 0 mins if they need to.

As you note, a crap set of playable players doesn't matter if they've pulled the plug.

But if not, in having a lineup to COMPETE, they also have to navigate eligibility issues for all their 2 ways, who have limits on games in uni, even if they sit. I think both Kessler and Williams are down to about 10 games each. Kai is also unable to do the rest of the season.

At least Cuban told some truths. Now he will be banned from the arena.

I hope not even the fans at the AAC will be more than 8.

I wonder where Casey Smith might have gone after Nico fired him…
