Lukas defense is still trash though. ?
We'll be ok when we get out pieces back.

PJ, Exum, Christie, and Marshall being a combined 9-38 turned out not to be a recipe for success.

Luka doing what it takes to win playing like a star. Max showing elite role player traits. AD in street clothes. That’s pretty much going to be the final story of the trade. So wild that a single game could so encapsulate the reality for these two franchises.

Lakers get blown out if the Mavs are healthy. That was way too close for LA being full strength. Luka does look tired.
He just said he is exhausted. Looks hurt (emotionally) still as well.
Find me at Lakersball.com. I'm done with the Nico and the Mavs.

Luka looked genuinely sad during the postgame interview.
Also, people seriously need to pump the brakes saying that Max Christie will be an all star. The guy looked as coordinated as OMax

Luka did his usual Westbrook level stat padding. Impressive first quarter. Not so much after that. Lebron had to win the game.
Wish AD and Lively could be healthy. Argh. Everyone has to play a level higher with AD out. Not really fair to Christie and PJ to expect them to be offense creators. But yeah they were both awful.

He and PJ played so poorly. I’m not worried about either one of them. Let them play their usual positions and they are likely to be two high quality starters. It seems like we missed all 20 shots to take the lead. We had numerous chances to really do something tonight.

pj is playing hurt so I don't blame him for laying an egg in scoring, not to say he played good defense tonight which helped the team avoid what would've otherwise been a blowout. Powell just came back from a long absence so I don't criticize him either. he is Powell and he's just being the player he's supposed to be.

I was expecting something like two triple doubles from luka at halftime. luka played too hard early in the game and he was tired in the second half. dude indeed needs more conditioning and less weight tbh.

I think "if we were healthy..." will be the leitmotiv of the next 2/3 years in Mavs world.
I remember Rockets fans tell the same with T-Mac&Yao!!!

Every single Mavs player came up to Luka and gave him a hug and congrats.

His impact on the game tonight would have been the exact same if he had 7 or 8 rebounds in the box score instead of 15. It’s not like he’s taking rebounds away from the opposing team. He’s getting them instead of his own bigs. It’s the exact thing Westbrook and Harden started and has proliferated the NBA because fans are too stupid to tell the difference.

I love how the fans trolled Nico with the chants. I’m really disappointed this was the first stadium wide chant I’ve heard. Really thought the Mavs fans would let him hear it at home.
