DFS and Vando are on the bench. Mark Williams isn't the best, but he's still long.
So no. I'd consider the Wizards to be way worse.

He would have fit so well here.
I just don't understand Nico man...

I'd rather have him run the point than watch Dinwiddie attempt to do it for 40 minutes a night.

Nico Harrison told Marc Stein that he was going to win Mavs fans back with his next move and proceeded to trade one our best role players in Quentin Grimes and a draft pick for an injured Caleb Martin who couldn’t even pass his physical LMAO

Not sure what you tried to say, but they can bring in another player. Just not the ones that were paid over something like 13 mil (or whatever exactly is the margin) before they were bought out.

It was my understanding that they can't bring in anyone from the buyout market. Maybe that is wrong?

The Lakers are able to sign buyout players, but because they are above the first apron, they are NOT allowed to sign any bought out players that were making a salary above 12.8 million dollars (the MLE for this year).
So the Lakers are able to sign any joe who was making less than 12.8mil on his previous contract.
But usually, guys don't get bought out on very cheap contracts and those that do are usually ones you want to avoid at all costs.

They are limited just to sign bought out players who had salary higher than 12,4 mil. They can sign others. There are of course not any very good players who were paid less than 12,4 mil. But in general, not many bought out players are usually very good, we are looking at end of playoff rotation players here at best. If they would be good, they wouldn't be bought out

No trade for a real playmaker? Should be obvious if it wasn't before that there's no serious plan to make any noise for the rest of the regular season, let alone the playoffs. The tank is real. If the Mavs end up with Cooper Flagg, we'll know that this was league-and-Silver-driven. I know it's tin foil, but it's a lot more palatable than the piss-off-the-fan-base-so-we-can-move-the-team-to-Vegas-and-they-don't-care conspiracy theory.

punting on the first year of a 2 to 3 window is still so wild tho
I really thought he'd mortgage the rest of the picks for ANYONE they could get
and honestly that was probably the correct choice

As I indicated, the "punting" makes sense if this was league-driven.
AD without the playmakers needed to help him be effective = "Solid Gold" 2.0.

He probably did. And it’s embarrassing he was bragging about it before actually sealing the deal.

Probably a good move. Maybe you can re-sign him (at a lower $). There is no reason New Orleans cannot be a playoff team next year. Well, I guess the reason may be counting on Zion, but still there is a lot of individual talent there (also should have a high pick this year)

Bruce Brown Jr. is not a buyout candidate. The Pelicans are keeping Brown, sources said, and both sides sound open to a new deal at season’s end. Brown should also have plenty of interest in free agency, if he continues a strong return from injury.
