Suns won't trade Kevin Durant unless they can get a combination of assets and younger players back. I would expect that could get revisited over the summer.

He is by far the most plugged in PHX guy. The fact he’s even mentioning this tells me the Suns are negotiating through the media.
Which makes me fearful that they want Lively. Hardy and Omax are young pieces! Take them! Not Lively!!

I don't think the Suns can afford to hold on to KD since Beal refused to be traded. Their payroll is absurd for a mediocre team. It won't surprise me if KD gets moved at the last minute. Definitely this summer if not though.

Hearing that will be the only trade for the Suns today.

I believe Gambo. He's solid like Marc Stein. I don't think he'd be out there lying for the Suns as a negotiating ploy.

All he said was if the suns were to trade KD, it’d take assets and young players.

Mavericks can’t sign anyone bought out right now. They are only 170k below the 1st apron. They’d have to shed salary to create enough room to offer a minimum salary to anyone bought out.

Atlanta has to clear 2 roster spots before the Cleveland now LA Clippers trade gets finalized.

That will be easy. Zeller and Roddy will be waived, if they don't find a taker

Zeller just traded to HOU along with a 2nd.
I don’t think ATL wants any dead money.

Huh, didn't notice he has a multiyear deal. What were they thinking?

Ah, that Nico, he sure is an expert in navigating the cap to advantage, isn't he? ~sarcasm alert~
The Luka trade itself was a master class in what happens when a GM doesn't use an expert, and then moving pieces are used against him rather than seeing the easy way.
Mavs sent a pick to UT to help solve LA roater/cap problem for them, if they did the eventual trade. BUT that issue didn't have to be there.
The easy obvious trade to do was
Luka-Maxi
AD-Christie-Knecht, 2029, 2031
No Utah. No cap issues. Both payrolls stay about the same.
If you want to do MORE with your roster and cap, you do it in a separate deal after you get full value for Luka. Not sure that's full value even, but you have to demand and get all that's there out of respect for Luka. Nico was too stupid to know how stupid he was.
I hated that Cuban sucked at GM things and thought he was the smartest guy in the room, getting pantsed for decades. It looks like Nico is no better.

Are we surprised the megalomaniac dolt who couldn’t build a basketball team hired a megalomaniac dolt who can’t build a basketball team?
Hilarious how Cuban’s fingerprints are still all over this mess.
