GAME 48: DAL (29-19) @ HOU (30-18) | 121-128 loss

After the debacle against the Suns, this will be a test of the Mavs' resilience and toughness. That said, I actually think it will be easier to beat the Rockets than the Suns. The Suns were just way stronger and more athletic, AND they had Ayton inside. The Rockets don't have that advantage -- yes, Capela is good, but nowhere near the strength and size of Ayton. Also, the Rockets are completely undisciplined, compared to the Suns. Great chance for a win, IMO.

I wonder what starting line-up Carlisle goes with. Last time Luka was injured, we had the Brunson/THJ/DFS/Powell/KP line-up post a +19.2 net rating against 5 elite teams.
No more Powell though but how about with Kleber? Brunson/THJ/DFS/Kleber/KP has a +32.9 net rating this season albeit in only 33 minutes. Or does Carlisle continue to over value small ball over size since Powell's injury? Really curious to see what he rolls out but I think we need more Kleber/WCS than ever.

Even without Luka I'm expecting better effort here. It's pretty rare for the Mavs to openly defecate on the court like they did last game so they had better play hard here. This is starting a stretch of 8 games in 13 days at a rather unfortunate time. Getting a win here would be big

If only KP discovered how to punish defenders half his size. A lineup of WCS and KP would be just towering for this Houston. Then Kleber and Bobi from the bench.

Also, if Westbrook wants to chuck, let him chuck!

So Barea is guarding Westbrook or Harden?

Bro starting? Well, what do you know!
Mavs seem a little unsure where to go with the ball. Bro made some nice plays on D.
Someone needs to go blow torch tonight for a win.

I’m not watching the game. Has Willie Cauley Stein played any minutes yet?
