Spurs should finish in front of Mavs, I would think.

The bulls:

2021: #Bulls trade a first-round pick for DeMar DeRozan.
2022: Sign Zach LaVine to a max deal.
2025: Trade Zach LaVine for the pick they traded in 2021.

Won one playoff game in that time.

Talk about running in place

The Sacramento Kings are $7.1 million below the luxury tax.

If Zach LaVine waives his trade bonus, they'd be $11.9 million below AND create a $16.8 million trade exception.

Jordan McLaughlin's inclusion makes the TPE possible provided LaVine waives most of his trade bonus.

Good job by the Spurs to not include Castle...and they got to keep Vassell too.

Man am I seriously contemplating becoming a Spurs fan….?

What has my fandom become, if I were to root for the very franchise I swore to hate 30+ odd years ago?

My allegiance is to the Mavericks! To Dirk!!

But alas Nico says if you’re not with me, you’re against me.

Only terrorists deal in absolutes. If rooting for the Spurs is what I have to do, I will do what I must.

They didn’t even get there swap back:

Kings sent Fox to the Spurs and let the Spurs keep:

Castle
Both Atlanta picks
Keldon Johnson
The Kings 2031 pick swap

Absolutely ridiculous

I'm a long time mavs fan too but I never really hated the spurs tbh. they're a respectable rival and they set a perfect model of building a successful team based in a small market. if the mavs got moved to Vegas, which is very likely, I'll probably remain a mavs fan for a while but if they also change the franchise's name, I would choose the spurs as my favorite team. spurs originated from Dallas...

I said the same but the reality is I like Wemby’s game not the Spurs.  I will watch the Spurs for Wemby  The spurs will never be my team despite what I say due to the current hurt and seeing Wemby hoist a trophy is not going to make me emotional. However I am done with the Mavs as long as the current owners are there. I blame them more than even Nico. You don’t make franchise altering decisions and not take the brunt of the responsibility as owners.

Even if we get Flagg tomorrow why won’t this ownership do the same to him?  Plus their evaluation that what Pelinka gave back was good enough shows zero basketball acumen.   I wish I had the video of Pelinka rofl after the deal was consummated    The trust is gone.  They didn’t follow a proper process and didn’t show any obligation to the fans to get the best haul they could have for a player of that caliber. I know you will never get equal value but even with that what they got back was so poor.  I can’t support an ownership and management group that looks at the Mavs a minor league affiliate of the Lakers.

After 4 decades of following the NBA , I am for now without a team to root for.

Agreed! The Kings are morons, trading Fox away for that paltry return. They should have asked for Castle, Vassell and their 2031 pick swap back.
