Klay needs GS to be able to get paid. They are both helping each other out.

4/70? That's more than I thought. Not comfortable with that.

I agree with this, but IF the holdup here is on the Dallas/LAL end, and NOT because GS is somehow trying to expand this deal to include a third team, I'd say it's likely that Thompson deciding which offer to accept is what hasn't happened.

But, to your point, I'm going to lose my mind if Dallas gets him and gets overly taxed for GS to facilitate.

I don't think that's remotely whats happening. GSW have no leverage. Klay chooses what he wants.

Four years would be tough, but it's literally that $16.2 million number Gump and Dan have been talking about. That's the lowest number we've speculated all week, really.

Isn't Gary Trent Jr. considered a good defender? He's a strong shooter so why isn't he getting more consideration from teams and from the Mavs specifically? That tweet saying he probably won't even get the full MLE shocks me. He's still young too.

17.5 AAV for Klay or 26m/yr for Harris? Those might have been the two options...

I understand that. That's what I've been saying.

The hold up is Klay being a chill dude on the west coast. Probably still asleep.

He is not considered a good defender.

This really isn't a lot of money in today's NBA. I think that's a really reasonable deal for Klay. The fit with the team is a different conversation, but the money seems reasonable to me.

To be fair, it's hard on the eyes reading some of these takes. And I'm running on 4 hours of sleep. I'll be better.

Well if the fit isn't there, then money sure as heck does matter.

But I'm pretty against the Klay thing full stop.  Giving a guy who is clearly declining 4 years is nuts.
