Who do we like for this, knowing Ainge will charge a lot? OKC?

The Lakers are expected to show interest in DeMar DeRozan, per @WindhorstESPN

well that's a signal Klay might have picked Dallas

I didn't love his fit here originally but now I want the front office to accomplish what they want instead of striking out.

Spurs?

Is Lauri attainable is Klay decides to go to LA?  I think I would rather have Lauri then Klay.

I don’t blame him for that a bit. I’m asking if we should be blaming the MAVS for settling for him under those circumstances.

I'm never one for helping the Lakers or letting the Lakers play us so I would give Klay a time frame to take our deal and then pivot to whatever other players Nico might be targeting. Maybe go back to exploring trading for Grant. We are actually a really good team now, much better than the Lakers and we don't need to bend the knee to Klay. He either wants our deal or he doesn't.

I might be wrong, but I think if Grant was actually an option available to the Mavericks for what they can give up, it would’ve been done already. I think that was the true, unannounced plan A. There’s just too much smoke out there about it.

Would love to have Lauri but I don't think the Mavs have the ammo for that compared to the other teams out there.

Oh, yeah…no way. That’s going to be like a Mikal Bridges trade.

He's not attainable for the Mavs. OKC, GS or Spurs possibly. He will cost a fortune.

Spurs, I can see, and that would be interesting!

How in the world would Golden State get there? How are they fixed for draft capital?

That may be and you're probably correct, but what if Nico decided to up his offer. That's always possible if he doesn't think he can get Klay.

Y’all don’t fully grasp how fast this shit changes, man. Hartenstein was expected by many to re-sign last week. Dallas, by various accounts, was going after KCP… until he opted out. Clippers don’t go after DJJ if Paul George stays. CP3 might not have been SAS if he got traded.
14x All-Star, 12x all-NBA, 1x MVP, 1x Finals MVP, 1 NBA Championship: Dirk Nowitzki, the man, the myth, the legend.

I have finally been given the chance to sleep for 5 hours. I am back and everyone has signed and OKC has got their guy. WTF

Huh, I would argue most NBA fans realize that things can change quickly, but I'm not an insider like Jake Fischer so who knows Wink

This no cap expert trade, but can't they use Wiggins, and then add Kuminga and Moody or whatever the cost. I'm sure fillers are needed and draft picks, but GS has some really nice young pieces.

They have Kuminga and basically all of their FRP. Only 2030 is owed to Washington, but is top20 protected.

He’s probably fed up with people trolling him for saying things that turn out to be incorrect.

Lauri deal is only 18 mil. I already proposed Kuminga and Green salary structure Smile

So they can actually get this done, maybe. That would change things in the west significantly. Heck, so would the Spurs thing.
