Trade & FA 2024-25:
It's ironic the balance of power in the East, resides on Interstate 95.

LMAO

edit: I think he means they're literally a step away in that they need to move someone off their roster in order to sign Klay

Hartenstein leaves the Knicks for the Thunder, Ouch.

[Wojnarowski] ESPN Sources: Free agent C Isaiah Hartenstein has agreed on a three-year, $87 million deal with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Hartenstein leave the Knicks for the top West seed eager to add his size, skill and physicality.

$29 million per year but only three years. Guessing Thunder have to give out raises to some of their current guys (Chet?) four years from now.

"A step away" means that they have to make a trade before they can go after Klay. And he finishes the segment with a strong case for the Mavs.

Philly renounced rights to him so a sign and trade isn't doable either. maybe mavs FO can find a way to get it done though.

I would have preferred Melton to Marshall if we were going to let DJJ walk and he could be had for MLE. He is some overlap with Grimes.

Probably the least suprising signing so far. OKC desperately needed a big. Hartenstein was the best available option. OKC is getting better and the Mavs barely beat them this year. Not getting any easier.

Thunder has to be the favorite now in the West.

He was more clear yesterday on ESPN. He literally means a move away as in trading D Russell for air. I don't see it happening. He also said LeBron isn't taking a pay cut .lol
Thunder add Hartenstein and Caruso. I like it. They want to continue to see if Chet and Jalen Williams can grow to be the #2 and #3 option or if they're going to need a mercenary.

Mavs barely beat them with a unhealthy Luka. I'm super excited about this team with a healthy Luka.

They are going to be a problem that's for sure.

They gonna be bigger problem With a center now.  Probably better than us.

Mavs on the other hand are best against such bigs

Easily, especially with Denver losing KCP.
Windy saying 4/70 for Klay. With Dan’s numbers earlier.

With Maxi out: 3/$50m or 4/$69m
With Green out: 3/$55m or 4/$75m
With both out: 3/$83m or 4/$114m
Thunder have 4-5 first round picks in next year's loaded draft. They don't have room for all those players.

Seems like they will be making one massive move sometime in the next calendar year.

Gross

He'll be more unplayable than Wes Mathews and THJ by the end of that deal
