Dallas are really high on Quentin Grimes and will look into formal proposals with the Detroit Pistons for the 24 year old’s services. More to come in the AM.

Ware has similar skills as Lively. Just questions if he has the “it”. He is going to the right franchise though.

I like the sound of that. He is young and fits the core group. He is a smart player, good IQ, makes decisive plays. Green hesitates a split second. Grimes does not. He's also an underrated passer. Good defender and shooter. Also, he can drive and finish well.
Find me at Lakersball.com. I'm done with the Nico and the Mavs.

That same guy had a tweet earlier about how Nico Harrison sees Jerami Grant as "the missing piece" and they're considering making a formal offer for him, too (or maybe instead?).

One of the tweets earlier said Nico made an initial offer, but Portland wasn't interested. I hope the next offer isn't a huge overpay.

I mean, but what if Grant IS "the missing piece?"

I'm good with a Grant trade. I just hope it doesn't hurt too much. That's all.

I've been thinking a ton about it, and I'm not going to go into much detail about how I see the fit until there's reason to discuss, but I kind of think Kleber could be outgoing in that deal. I think those are minutes that would go to Grant in the event he came here, and I think that part of the plan would work really well for the Mavs.

I want to see how this "get money for DJJ" thing works out, because I don't think either Grant or Grimes are being considered as "instead of" possibilities for DJJ, though I might have that wrong.

But...what if they could do all three? No idea if that's possible, but pencil in DJJ back as the starter at 3, Grant as the starter at 4, with Grimes and PJ coming off of the bench and those 4 guys splitting all minutes at the forwards with Grant playing a little 5 (meaning three of them could play together) and things get very interesting very fast.

I like all three guys, so any combo of two would be amazing, imo. All thee is probably not realistic, but if Kleber and Green are outgoing (as well as THJ)...possible?

I'd be really happy getting all 3 players, but I'm really hesitant to put PJ on the bench. I think he will be a better shooter next season and scorer. His defense is amazing and he really seemed like a "glue" guy for this team. Lively is a glue guy also. Can PJ play the 3 and put DJJ on the bench? PJ is the better player, but he's more of a 4 than a 3. I'd probably get all the players here and figure the rest out later. Too much talent is always a good problem to have.

1) Julius Randle is gone. It’s going to be interesting to see what he is worth out there, and who might want him. Good player in the right situation, I just have no idea what that situation might be. He’s kind of reminding me of the end of Al Jefferson's career, a little.

2) Given the situation NY is in with the apron and OG, I wonder if they will spend all day trying to get rid of those two first round picks they have (24, 25, I think) in order to lower the cap holds for those slots. I am sure they will want to exchange them for future first round picks, for both short-term financial reasons, and to recoup some of the picks they just sent out. Not sure who really wants to trade into this draft, but if a team wants to do that, I bet those picks are available.

3) OG Anunoby is represented by Leon Rose’s kid. They have been colluding (*cough*) I mean planning this for a while now. Unless we read something about OG changing his representation in the coming days, there is a 0% chance he does not re-sign in New York. You can write that one down in blood.

Boom! #3 already true, and NY working hard to make #2 work for them. They turned one of those picks into multiple future 2nds and chose a guy likely to be left abroad for a year with the other. Every dollar is going to matter for them this summer, with that OG contract.

I bet they'd try it your way first, but I just think it would work better the other way, especially with Grimes in the mix.

Nice pick by Minny. I really don’t know much about these prospects but he sort of fits guys they have drafted recently.
Suns take Dunn. Again I don’t know much about him. All world defender but just has not shown he can shoot at all

I love their salt.

The tweet reply below sums it up well

@JEnnisNBADraft
Mavs didn’t cheat yall out of anything. Yall get picks taken away for actually cheating then complain about stuff that’s in the rules.

Unless DJJ wants the 5.2M TxMLE, there's not a real path to Grant and Grimes and DJJ.
