Ding ding ding.
Actively harming a subordinate's career. An extramarital office affair. Seems like he was a hot mess with not many internal supporters.

Surprising that he did not fit in with the Mavs culture back in the day.

What a mess with Rosas. I was listening to the Zach Lowe Podcast just the other day with the team reporter from the Athletic. They had some nice things to say about the Timberwolves and thought they should be in the play-in discussion. The reporter agreed but says something always pops up with that franchise and blows everything up. Not a day later, this happens. It sounds like Rosas was a real piece of work. Who knows if the story is exaggerated or not, but it doesn't look good. Will see if Alex Rodriguez can steady the ship (HA). I am sure there are plenty of teams already trying to position themselves for Townes. I will be very surprised if he is still there in 3 years.
I am still fascinated by the Simmons saga. I really think Morey is going to call Simmons bluff. I don't think he is going to trade him for that subpar Minny offer. It just isn't in Morey's DNA. I believe if Simmons doesn't report, Morey will hold on to him and wait for a better offer. We will see though. Simmons and his camp doesn't appear to work with the team at all. It should be fun to watch from afar. My sneaky trade team is Toronto, although I am sure there are others who could surprise at all. But I can't see Morey taking 50 cents on the dollar. So we will see how long Simmons is willing to sit.

I will not go into his extracuricular activities, which are bad enough on their own, but comment just his job. Minny remained a bottom of the league team despite his moves. Culver pick was a disaster that ended in a salary dump after just two years. Despite being a very bad team they are near the tax line without any really interesting young players on rookie scale contracts, outside of Edwards.

Jake Fischer says Rosas was fired because of the extramarital office affair, citing "sources."

MPJ or Gordon, I'd guess.

And when he speaks you know he understands the game and watches them...every team in the league he able to point out things and players that only people who watch all the time would notice. .

I don't think Gordon can be traded as he was just extended. MPJ is paid only 5 mil, so far from roughly 25 needed to make the trade work.

Good points. I also don't know what Philly would want with Gordon without also moving Harris, but...I can't see Denver moving Murray or Jokic, personally. I suspect it won't be Denver, but who knows where this is going?

Not surprised about Rosas, he always seemed like a jerk from the little I knew about him...those few months he spent here must have been a very combustible situation between him expecting a bigger role in the front office and the Mavs expecting him to just be a yes man.
The sarcastic "Donde esta Gersson" tweet from Dirk right after Rosas left showed me that he must have been a huge ass to get Dirk to react like that publicly.

Avery Bradley signed a deal with the Warriors. He is always hurt, but if you catch him at the right time before he gets injured he can provide good bench play. With Otto Porter (always injured), Iggy (Old), and Bejlinca (fat) are some interesting low cost moves. Although come December, they may all be in street clothes.

"Irving, who serves as vice president on the executive committee of the players' union, recently started following and liking Instagram posts from a conspiracy theorist who claims that 'secret societies' are implanting vaccines in a plot to connect Black people to a master computer for 'a plan of Satan.'"
Kyrie would be ineligible to play in home games for Brooklyn if he remains unvaxxed. How freaking funny would it be if this is what costs the Nets a title

I don't have any desire to get into a political debate, so I'll just say that no matter how one feels about vaccinations I think the characterization of the article is unfair. It's not really a Kyrie thing but a players union thing. Note that the NY teachers union also just won an injunction against local vaccine mandates, and I don't see any articles about how they're all a bunch of crazy conspiracy theorists pushing the city around. Kyrie's just an easy target.
IMO, the really interesting thing will be if the Warriors, Nets, or Knicks end up feeling pressured by their own cities to trade away unvaccinated players. I imagine the sharks are circling, and there are probably more names we just haven't heard about yet. And if the local mandates are permanent, picture the chaos it will cause in the draft and free agency when some of the league’s most prominent franchises are effectively banned from acquiring the best players based on vaccination status. The NBA needs to sort this out, or it could become a major competition issue.

So, if a player doesn't play because of his vaccination status, does he still get paid? It's not like you are on the injury report. The player has personally made a choice to not comply with the parameters that would allow game participation. It's more like you decided to not show up for a game.
These guys are making GUARANTEED money in quantities that most of us here will never see if we work until we're 100. If they just don't show up for a game because they didn't feel like coming in, wouldn't there be penalties for that?
Also, how does Kyrie "Flat Earth" Irving get to be a spokesperson for the union?
