No more allout every game to win 60+ games. All about player development, health and fitness. No Carlisling.

The lines they set tend to be REALLY accurate with one major exception: When they set lines for "fan favorites" they tend to set them a little higher because they know they will get lots of bets from "ignorant fans." Again their goal is equal number of bets on BOTH sides of the number. I think the Lakers will actually be worse than 52.5, probably closer to 50.5.

If the odds makers are any good (which they are) then approximately half the teams will come in under and half the teams will come in over with most teams being quite close. (Although I also agree with Kammrath that there is some weighting for high-profile teams like LA or Brooklyn).

For perspective, here is last season O/U as of Dec 22 (right as the season opened), compared to the results. Quite a few were right on target (or reasonably close), but in doing the comparison, I was surprised that more than half turned out to be mediocre-to-awful guesses in comparison to the results. https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2020/12/2020...recap.html Teams whose results were within 2.5 games of the oddsmakers O/U line

Not sure, but to kick off the speculation, both Rondo and Beverley seem like the type who would be disgruntled by how they were shelved in the playoffs, and probably the type you don't want in your locker room while they're disgruntled.
