It was fun to hang with you guys and talk Mavs for this run, especially post trade! Just wanted to say thanks for all the great Mavs talk.
Regarding the Mavs, wow, what a great season! I'm not worried. In the NBA you have to take your lumps and mature through suffering. It's just the way it is. As long the core grows, matures and improves, Luka stays on his trajectory, and the MBT makes positive moves, the Mavs can stay relevant and make more runs for glory.
Go Mavs!

Yeah this season was a rollercoaster. One of the most fun and entertaining ones (especially the 2nd half) in a LONG time. Like 13 years long.
I hope I don't have to wait another 13 years for another finals run but this last run was so much fun.
Hopefully the Mavs continue to build and we see a team locked in and motivated next year!
Go Mavs!!

One really promising thing that's happened is the front office showed a real commitment to Luka and to winning now. Hat tip to the front office.

I agree guys. It was a great season and it's nice to see the Mavs on the way up again!
Find me at Lakersball.com. I'm done with the Nico and the Mavs.

Definitely a fun season! Some memorable moments, some shrewd trades, and a 2 month playoff run! This probably ranks 3rd all time for me after the 2011 run (obviously) and the 2006 season (got to go to game 1 in Dallas).
Hopefully we can make a couple more shrewd moves this offseason which include somehow finding a new home for Timmy while holding on to DJJ.

Amazing season - from near play in territory to the NBA finals! too bad we didnt win but we have a real team now.
Expectations will be sky high next season and Mavs will have a target on their backs.
Let's see what Nico/Lindsey/Fin have up their sleeves this offseason to try to improve and build on this squad.

Great year! Highlights that come to mind:
1. The draft-day maneuvering.
2. The Exum/Jones bargains.
3. The Kidd decision to start DJJ (and this board’s reaction).
4. The opener vs. Wemby.
5. The rookie absolutely seizing the starting center spot.
6. The 50-point win over Utah.
7. Luka’s 73 at Hotlanta.
8. The trade-deadline duo.
9. Kyrie’s left hand beats the Nuggets.
10. Gafford’s 32 in a row.
11. Luka crushing the Rockets’ 11-game streak.
12. The 16-2 streak to get to 50 wins (before mailing in the final 2).
13. Maxi’s 5 three pointers and the 30-point blowout in game 5 at the Clips.
14. PJ’s game 2 and 3 dismantling of the Thunder defensive scheme.
15. McDaniel’s face after his fateful game 2 switch off Luka (seconds before the winner over a flailing Gobert).
What am I missing?

I think I will take a fling on this team taking 2 steps forward, a step back, then two more forward:
Start with Playoff losses to the Clipps
WCF Run
Rebuild year/Kyrie trade/Lively Draft
Finals Run
(We might be disappointed here next season) BUT Wait...
Sing It Dirk!!!

It felt great to be here so frequently after the championship season. And also it was so great to see nicknames waaayy back from the dallascowboys board days. Hopefully @hakeemfan and @kammrath will join the party soon.

I enjoy all the discussions on this forum. I can safely say I know more about basketball now than before I joined this forum...which, in all the iterations, has been a long time. I mostly "like" posts, rarely post a thread, but I read a LOT of the threads and posts on here.
Thanks guys!
I think I'm already having withdrawal symptoms...
Maybe some good things will happen in the off season to make it worth while.
I look forward to next year!
