Agreed, which is why I don't move AD. Maybe Thompson, but I think our Mavs are in the AD/Kyrie business for the long haul, whether we like it or not.

I think they could trade AD and still contend for the play-in next year.They would have a completely recovered Kyrie, another high pick in a loaded draft, and a full season of development under the belt of guys like Flagg, Lively, Christie, and PJ. Plus whatever assets they receive from the AD trade.

Even if they keep both I don't think that saves the draft pick situation in later years like 29-30. Kyrie/AD will have fallen off pretty significantly by then. If they haven't found a way to add a few major pieces, they could still end up donating a lottery pick or two to someone else.
