I got to give it to Klay. His 16 point 2nd quarter was the catalyst for this team to separate and they never looked back.

Legit went on his own run and single handedly destroyed the Kings morale.

B-Will a close 2nd. Playing through an injury and you wouldn't really know it.

Anthony Davis played a well rounded game. I don't think it was his best game, but it was good...enough.

Klay Thompson is a viable Dirkie contender. He did indeed have a great 2nd quarter and certainly contributed to a dip in Kings morale. But the Kings clawed back. Just not enough.

P.J. Washington is third on my Dirkie list.

Brandon Williams deserves some consideration. I think he was still hampered by injuries.

So...my Dirkie goes to Anthony Davis.

BWill deserves it from me. Nobody expected him to have 17 pts in just 18 minutes.

I think Klay deserves it for breaking open the game in Q2. Once he made the 1st one, he basically said "I got this".

BWill deserves a runner up trophy and a purple heart for playing injured and putting up the line he did. Stayed fearless, patient and took care of the ball (zero turnovers!).

I really loved the way our bigs swallowed up Sabonis and made his night hard. The team's overall defensive effort definitely needs recognition.

How about Spence for only playing a couple of minutes? That was gigantic to the Mavs winning.

Live by the 3 die by the 3 you need to score more points near the basket and make a point of attacking the rim constantly and that will open up your shooters more. They cannot stop our bigs so you establish that early and draw fouls on the other teams bigs so they bench them. AD Lively and Gafford all performed well and formed a nice front to defend the basket from a team that is fully capable of scoring inside. Against MEM you got a challenge but its possible to win and get by them so lets focus on them and figure out how to win that game.

Memphis needs Ja to win and he is coming off an ankle issue that could slow him down. They have more bigs than we have so we will be forced to play big and avoid small ball. You hear me Kidd? Exum starting at PG might be an advantage since he did not miss a single shot against the Kings and if someone helps PJ to get an open shot early in the game then we should see a better performance from him. Continuing to shoot our free throws well is key to winning a close game and if we cannot win it big like we did against the kings the free throw shooting will be something we need to focus on.
