PJ is getting better and better. I didn't realize he was only 26. He won't turn 27 until August.
Find me at Lakersball.com. I'm done with the Nico and the Mavs.

Klay Thompson, Naji Marshall, and Max Christie held their own in the game. This deserves honorable mention.

Kyrie was playing like he wanted to win. Aside from a few bobbles he played great.

P. J. Washington. I actually didn't think he was going to be so important to the team or play like he has been. The icing on the cake is that I think he has some room to improve and refine his play.

P. J. Washington gets my Dirkie. But if Kyrie didn't play at such a consistently high level he would deserve some hard consideration.

Damn...I'm glad we got Max Christie...

PJ and Christie are very, very easy to root for. I hope they're both around for a long time.

I had to give it to Christie as I felt the team didn't really take off unless he was in the game.

Kyrie was a killer. PJ was playing like an all star. OMax hustled like crazy.

But still had to give it to Christie.

Is it bad that I am ready to move on from Naji?

I also add Kyrie to this list.  I use to think Kyrie was just another numb nut basketball player with seriously idiotic baggage.  Boy...was I wrong.  He has been a great team mate with absolutely no personal problems.  He plays hard.  And now he seems to have picked it up a bit...and has become a leader of the team.

So...for me it is now Kyrie, PJ, Christie, and Naji is getting close to that list.  There's one more I could talk about, but if I don't watch out I'll start rooting for the entire team!

Give me PJ. He was fantastic in his first game back. Kyrie is sort of getting the Luka treatment for me. He is a candidate most games, but you almost take it for granted.

Naji deserves mention too.

A special shoutout to my awkward boys: Omax and Brown. Omax plays so hard. Can he channel that with a purpose? Brown didn't do much but his height helped make several plays late. Just having a big body in the lane was a welcome addition.

Press Max, rinse, repeat. Max is making me feel better about this team. They still need to trade AD for a younger, more reliable player as soon as his value is rehabilitated, but the Mavs have a building block for the future.

I think you should prepare to be disappointed.  I can't imagine they are going to try to flip AD for assets after just trading their superstar for him.  It's more likely the go the other way.  I just hope they don't include Max in a potential KD trade.

Skin was right during the broadcast. Omax heads down the lane looking like a squirrel running in all directions. Love that guy though. They just need to get him under control more. This team is now playing hard for 48 minutes. That's what I wanted to see.

Christie hasn't been given a dirkie but he's been our most consistent performer since he became a mav. Christie isn't just a 3d role player imho, will turn out to be a bridges type of player or even a franchise player for us in the future tbh.
