RE: DRAFT: #18 & #31 | Donnie: 66% chance to trade up or down, above avg foreign class - jesusshuttlesworth82 - 11-18-2020

The Knicks just turned the 27 and 38 picks into 25 and 33.

The more I read on Green, the more I think going to end up really liking him just in time for the Mavs to trade him on Friday.

I do think he is a different skillset defensively than Bey. I think he's just a better athlete who has recoverability and can cover more explosive wings and combo guards. Bey is a big strong frame guy, but probably not as explosive. Bey is a very good shooter who can shoot over close outs with his length. Green is maybe more versatile with what he can do in a motion offense.

Wonder what happens there. They have Murray, Morris, Harris, Barton, now took RJ Hampton.

Of course Denver gets RJ.

He may be out of the league in three years or he may be one of the best players from this draft. Was crossing my fingers Mavs would make a move for him after getting Green.

I'm honestly right there with you.

After the initial shock of the Mavs passing up on Bey, the more I look at Green, the more I'm falling love with the pick.

Man I lien what Rick had to say. They knew they needed defense. They wants elite defense.

They got the best wing defender available, and some said the best wing defender in the draft.

They can afford for him to not be the best shooter if his defense is legit and he’s at least ok tbe level of Dodo earlier offensively.

Just my 2 cents.

Good we snuck in that Porzingis trade. The last dumb FOs dying out. We better make another deal with the Kings for Bogdan or Hield before the Kings hire somebody competent. Big Grin

I'll be happy with Terry or Maledon at 31.

I hope I'm wrong about Green.  Been watching him on youtube the last 15 minutes.  Not impressed.

Can we at least replace Reaves and Cleveland tonight. There are still some really interesting guys left.

Just depends what type of defense you want with the pick.

This guy helps the most against quickness...quick enough to keep up with Murray, Dame, etc, and his SIZE will be GREAT against those guys.

Bey helps a lot more against Kawhi, Lebron and guys like that. a LOT more. He's bigger, stronger.

Bey is also 1,000x more ready to walk in an play (probably start) on day 1.

Long term, we might end up liking Green a lot, but he's raw.

Your positivity alone made me turn around my outlook on Green.

Also seeing Carlisle be happy enough to roast MacMahon and love the pick makes me feel better too.
