RE: DRAFT: Nov 18, 6pm | DAL #18 & #31 | 'strong desire' to trade up | Hal & SBey workout - cjeter24 - 11-04-2020 (11-04-2020, 06:02 PM)Scott41theMavs Wrote:(11-04-2020, 05:31 PM)Kammrath Wrote:(11-04-2020, 04:17 PM)DanSchwartzman Wrote: Cole Anthony On raw talent for sure... But Anthony is completely inefficient and frankly doesn't look like that good of a player. At least RJ was like that in the pros ha. He's also small and no reason to think he's going to be a good defender. I think Brunson is criminally underrated here. I think in time he could late bloom and be one of the undersized PG players that are really good like the Raptors guys. He is a true pg that runs the offense well and has a nice touch. If he improves his shooting just bit, I see 0 reason he won't be averaging double digits within the next 2 years with appropriate playing time. Guys like Brunson that are undersized almost always take a few years to really get going in the NBA. They figure out how to use their size to their advantage is my theory ha. RE: DRAFT: Nov 18, 6pm | DAL #18 & #31 | 'strong desire' to trade up | Hal & SBey workout - omahen - 11-05-2020 Zach Lowe on picks I would bet against any team trading a first-round pick for cash (and the required token second-rounder) -- something that hasn't happened since Denver traded the pick that became Gobert in 2013 -- but given economic uncertainty, I'd expect some teams toward the bottom of the first round to try to exchange those picks for roughly equivalent future picks. We will see some second-rounders sell for cash. https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/30221719/giannis-antetokounmpo-future-all-star-trades-nba-draft-everything-else-watch-offseason RE: DRAFT: Nov 18, 6pm | DAL #18 & #31 | 'strong desire' to trade up | Hal & SBey workout - cjeter24 - 11-05-2020 (11-05-2020, 11:36 AM)omahen Wrote: Zach Lowe on picks The issue with selling 1st rounders this year is half of them are traded. and almost all of them are with NBA franchises with deep pocket books. Boston x2, NYK, Lakers plus Toronto make up final 5 picks. Toronto at pick 29 is the only one on the table that might get sold. Now you might see cash plus early 2nd to move up move. Or something similar of very minor value. Per Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle, the Warriors believe Edwards has the potential to "blossom into a face of a franchise and multi-time All-Star if put in the right situation" and "would likely" select the Georgia star if he's available.
