So close to a steal but everything falling the Clips way.

You are wrong here, Boban would not help. Zubac is feasting on our wings after they switch the PnR.

Barring a Luka/KP run, it looks like this one is over.

The most frustrating coaching choice to me.

Boban's sheer size would stop Zubac getting these easy putbacks. That alone is a 6-8 point swing.

Can't believe Doncic didn't secure!!! everytime you take a possession secure the ball first before your move your feet.

Clippers are a cheat code. 2 of the best 2-way wings in the game.

They better...tonight.  One day we will have the support for our 2 guys.

Add onto that team one of the best defensive guards in the league, a perennial 6MOY in Lou Will who could go off for 20 every night, a super hustle big man in Trez, and fantastic wing depth with Green, Morris, McGruder and a specialized 3pt marksman in Shamet.

Clips are about as complete a team as there ever has been.

No it wouldn't, because he would be somewhere near three point line guarding George or Kawhi after a switch. Unless of course you prefer open shot for one of those guys.

Luka with another 3! If only that was earlier...

At any point in this game was Boban anywhere near the 3pt line when he was in? No. No matter what he was around the basket getting rebounds and clogging up the paint. It was working, until Rick never went back to it.

The clippers keep getting these nice open looks for threes and calmly stroke the ball into the net. They just make it look so easy because they know what they're doing and they do everything so fast.

Why coach went away from KP? He got it close to within a point with the ball feed to him.

RE: GAME 71: LAC (46-22) @ DAL (41-30) | 111-126 loss - Kammrath - 08-06-2020

I think the Clippers play the best, drive-clogging defense against Luka in the NBA....playoff series against them will help teach him what it looks like to face the best. He has to be more than a three point shooter against them for the Mavs to have a chance.

RE: GAME 71: LAC (45-22) @ DAL (41-29) | Aug 6, 5:30 pm | Mavs 4.0 pt dogs - SleepingHero - 08-06-2020

Luka and KP combine for 59 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists on 19/40 shooting, 9/20 from 3, 12/15 from the FT line.

Rest of the Mavs: 52 points, 25 rebounds, 13 assists. 20/47 from the floor. 8/28 (28%!!!) from 3.

Mavs can never win if they constantly have to rely on 2 v 5 every game.

RE: GAME 71: LAC (45-22) @ DAL (41-29) | 111\- - Hypermav - 08-06-2020

KP showed us something though.  He brought us back.

Clippers were on fire in the 4th.  No way you beat that team, shooting like that.  We are counting on Burke to save us against this team.  Just does not work that way.

RE: GAME 71: LAC (45-22) @ DAL (41-29) | Aug 6, 5:30 pm | Mavs 4.0 pt dogs - omahen - 08-06-2020

This team has absolutely no chance against Clippers. If they win one in playoffs, it will be a success. Defense is just bad, they can't stop anything. Especially PnR defense. I mean, an average center like Zubac went for 20 with mostly dunks, because of the bad PnR defense.

On the other side, Clippers can just put too much pressure on Luka. Unless role players will have a perfect shooting night, it will be like today. And please mind Clippers were missing two very important players and Williams still has greasy hands from those chicken wings.

Luka and KP had good games, the rest were average or bad. Burke needed 15 shots for his 11 points. Wright is just lost. You already said enough about THJ. He was just abused today on defense. The irony - Wright and Jackson were the only two players with a positive +-
